Step 2 – The Energy Audit

Sustainable Construction Services is working on partnering with certified energy auditors in order to provide a more comprehensive energy audit than can be completed during the consultation.  The purpose of using certified auditors is not to add additional cost to the customer, but to use the tools and training of the auditor to maximize the effectiveness of the services provided by SCS.  Auditors use specialized tools to pinpoint exact locations of energy loss and find areas of potential energy loss that would otherwise be undetectable without these tools.  This allows SCS to make your home even more energy efficient and save you even more money.

Auditors can conduct either a whole house energy audit or specific tests in accordance with the Action Plan developed during the consultation.  Once this audit has been completed a SCS representative will meet with the customer to adjust the Action Plan.  With the new and improved Action Plan created the customer will move on to the Pre-Construction Meeting.

For customers who had an energy audit completed on their home prior to contacting SCS, we will use the already complete audit to supplement the walk through done during the consultation.
