Step 3 – The Pre-Construction Meeting The third step of our 5-Step Process is the Pre-Construction Meeting. In this step the Customer is presented with our final Plan of Attack. The customer will also receive a schedule of how construction will proceed. The Pre-Construction Meeting is when we will set up the best way to contact the customer during construction. Whether it is by phone, email, or in person we are always willing to accommodate the needs of our customers. After the Pre-Construction Meeting work will begin. The SCS Team will continuously monitor the progress of construction and we are always avaliable to answer questions. Energy Remodels The Pre-Construction Orientation is a chance for us to finalize the construction schedule and other details with the customer. Energy Remodeling projects are generally completed much more quickly than traditional remodeling projects. Our goal is to complete these projects as quickly and conveniently as possible. During the Pre-Construction Meeting we will give you a printed out copy of the construction schedule. Once construction begins, a SCS representative will continuously monitor the progress of your project, updating you on any changes. Finally, we will set a date and time for the Post Construction Orientation. Renovations and Additions For Customers completing a green renovation or addition the process will be similar to that of an energy remodel. The SCS representative will meet with the customer to finalize details and review the construction schedule. We will double check to make sure all personal items and furniture have been removed from the rooms that are about to be under construction. We will also make sure the customer understands what rooms can be used during construction, what rooms are off limits and how long these rooms will be unusable. Because renovations and additions generally take longer to complete than energy remodels, the Post Construction Orientation will be scheduled closer to the time the project will be completed.
